We had an incredible experience with our server at this restaurant. She was very attentive, explaining the menu and every dish we ordered. She made sure our proteins were cooked perfectly and checked on us frequently. The food was delicious and bursting with flavor. This is definitely a fantastic place to dine with family, friends, or for a romantic date. View all feedback.
What Ned Hudson doesn't like about Daebak Korean Bbq:
Fun experience!! We came here with our two younger kiddos it was pretty empty early on a Saturday night. Pros: Pretty atmosphere K Pop playing on all the TVs Beef combo was a lot of food and delicious Great drinks Great service Cons: Prices were much more expensive than the online menu $65 online vs. $83 in restaurant menu for small beef combo) Not many vegetarian options; dumplings were great, but no tofu. Sadly disappointed by the overpriced and pampered meal. while authentic Korean bbq is not exactly easy to find in this part of chicago, the quality and amount of meat served for the price was inappropriate. a beef combo menu for 2 people was $85 — for 3 small teller meat with little to no taste. While the banchan (side courts) were decent, I would rather spend the $150 we spent on the bark comb, a starter and 2 diet coke on a steak dinner in the city. I love korean bbq and was looking forward to the opportunity in this part of the city. I wonder if the location chinatown is different/better. but it was only a great miss on aromen and worth for what they charge. sidenote: it was super strange that the server cook the meat for us – I was in korean bbq in whole asia and other states and the whole joy of Korean bbq can cook the meat itself. it was really unpleasant to let our server stand there and cook our meat at the table.
I love Korean grill and daebak is simply the best in town! I have been to Chinatown location several times and this is just as great plus they have added great craft cocktails to the menu that really make the experience that much better! the kimchi pancake is to die and her marinated bark cannot beat! highly recommended, will definitely be back!
Jay, the manager was great and also our waiter mao. we have made the big bark comb, seafood pancakes and the dumplings. everything was great!
After the trial 3 different Korean bbq place in chicago this is by far the best I had on. the staff is friendly and helpful and every bit of eating was delicious.
Walk in with my family and the staff wasn’t welcoming we were the only Africans Americans and we were being watched at every moved it was beyond uncomfortable. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. They need to work on welcoming people of color or something. Horrible experience will never return
