I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, which is set in a historic building with a fantastic location. The dining options were impressive, and the afternoon tea was delightful. The beds were incredibly comfortable, but the rooms could use some improvements, such as outlets on both sides of the bed, a mini fridge, and a bathroom exhaust fan. While it may not provide a luxurious experience, it's a great place... View all feedback.
What Theresa Boyd doesn't like about Coq D'or Drake Chicago:
This neighborhood hotel bar and restaurant has a lot of potential. It has a club-like, vintage atmosphere that attracts both tourists and many local regulars. The food is quite delicious, although the presentation and quality can vary. The staff makes an effort to create a welcoming environment, but there are times when the service feels disengaged and slow. I visit about once a week and never seem to have the same e... The Drake was amazing in all aspects. Beautiful location and all of the amenities were perfect. Our group loved the meeting rooms as well.
Does feel w/o ac sometimes even though at night it’s been good for ac. Even though it’s clean, it Feels old and doesn’t smell good and clean and fresh. Needs updating and renovation. Some parts look unfinished and not fully decorated. Rooms are great size and bathrooms as well but it all is in desperate need of
My wife and I were married at the Drake in July 2023 and had the best experience. Antoinette, Karina, and their team were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. The wedding was a huge success with friends and family, and this wouldn't have been possible without the Drake team. The rooms, common spaces, and the Coq d'Or are also very nice, clean, and comfortable. 10/10.
This is a hotel with great location. It is right by the magnificent mile and there are plenty of shops and nice restaurants nearby. However, the service and rooms don't justify the price. at more than $200+taxes per night, you expect better rooms and better service. At this price, breakfast is not included. The rooms are small. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. I complained about bathroom exhaust that wasn't working and they didn't fix it.
My business partners and I travel to Chicago twice a year for work and usually stay at the Holiday Inn at Wolf Point. We switched it up this year and stayed here and it was a wonderful experience.Spacious rooms, incredibly friendly and flexible front desk team and great housekeeping. My room had a lake view and was sparkling clean with great water pressure. We’ll definitely be back!
