Incredible food and cocktails, a really great mean experience. I'm dumbfounded that they have no hooks by the tables in the Bordeaux Room for coats or purses. These are must-haves in Chicago and they should really consider adding something to the tables. View all feedback.
What WilliamF doesn't like about Bordeaux Lounge By Turquoise:
I don’t quite grasp the idea of having a French restaurant within a Mediterranean one. I came to Bordeaux expecting French cuisine, but the French side was closed. The menus are merged, but the offerings leaned more towards Mediterranean than anything else. The ambiance was quite simple and not as upscale as it appeared online. The food was rather bland. While the service was good, I don’t plan on returning. View all feedback.
Our dinner was great, service was exceptional, and very interesting choices of food on the menu. The only problem was the noise level but that seems to be a problem almost everywhere.
This is a Turkish restaurant, sharing a space with Turquoise (a Turkish restaurant) they even share the Turquoise menu and not the menu on their website. The food was good but nothing close to what we wanted or expected.
We started by ordering a bottle of wine and a flat bread before ordering our entrees. After 30 minutes, we had not received our flatbread. The wait staff indicated it would be a couple minutes. 10 minutes later, a manager told us it would be right out and gave an excuse of the oven being down. Another 10 minutes went by and we were told a different excuse by a new manager, which was the tickets got mixed up. By this point we had cancelled our entrees as we were upset and requested the bill. The flatbread FINALLY arrived after 55 minutes. The restaurant comped the flatbread and still charged full price for the bottle of wine, of course choosing the cheapest way to try to save face. Multiple tables around us were seated after us, did not order a full bottle, and were done eating before we were even spoken to by a manager. The communication was poor and our experience suffered because of it. The worst part is the flatbread was exceptional but the entire experience ruined our night. We left hungry and overpaid for a bottle of wine. If there truly was an issue, I would’ve expected the communication earlier and the restaurant asking if we wanted our entrees instead.
I was disappointed that the menu from their website is NOT the menu they gave me. It was the one from Turquoise. There’s nothing French about this place.
2nd time , pretty good. Nothing to crazy just feels good to eat there
