I recall the burgers being better here. But the very thin, overcooked but not smashed burger here is not cutting it any more. The bun is also just kind of off, being in some middle ground of traditional fast food burger bun and pretzel bun. Too bad because bacon and egg on a burger is unheard of for under $10 any more. If I was preparing to walk the green mile, and I had a choice of a last meal, I'd choose bopNgrill. Absolutely amazing burgers, bowls, and kimchi fries. Yes kimchi fries and they're absolutely perfect. A must eat in Chicago.
The cheesy kimchi fries are a must try on the menu. Fries are on point, thin, crispy and savoury. I had the fire chicken plate, which was spicier than I expected, but was good nevertheless. The kimchi is actually really good and they sell it in jars for you to take home too! My boyfriend had the classic burger which was actually really good too!
Bopngrill is perfect for a quick meal. I highly recommend trying the burger with a fried egg—it’s fantastic! The dumplings paired with their special dipping sauce are simply amazing.
