Description

Blackbird in Chicago offers a Michelin star dining experience at reasonable prices with nice and friendly staff. The lunch menu features a balance of flavors, with only a slight miss on the sourdough bread pudding. The chefs offer a fabulous 6-course selection that can accommodate allergies with amazing substitutes like blueberry ribs. The extensive wine list is impressive for impressing business partners. The carefully prepared and delicious meals are complemented by attentive staff. While the restaurant week menu offers value, the ingredients may not be fully utilized. The cozy atmosphere with a French twist is perfect for a date night, with exceptional service and great wine pairings available. Overall, Blackbird offers a unique and memorable dining experience for special occasions.

Delicious and lush meal, which is carefully prepared. the taste and the presentation are excellent! the staff are attentive, more than happy, their love to share the food and drinks served, and polite. I shared several dishes with a friend (they are very courteous and presplit some of the dishes for us,) and there is also a tasting menu with wein paring available. eating was exquisite and I would definitely recommend for a special night!

Life takes us on many journeys, tonight it took us to Blackbird in Chicago with my beautiful wife Ashley Allen and my precious daughter Lilly Anastasia Allen. This was Lilly’s first Michelin Star restaurant and she did great at her two hour meal! She played with the Dinosaur

We came for the restaurant week menu and you get what you pay for. Because of the low price, I felt that their use of ingredients were not the best or they did not fully exploit their ingredients to their full potential. The first course was the best among all, dessert was also good. Reasonable price for their wine listings. The environment was very loud, but was expected for restaurant week. The servers were attentive for such a busy place.

One of the best meals I've had in Chicago. Service and ambience were perfect, food was out of this world. Started with a selection of three cheeses (perfectly described by our charming and knowledgeable server), followed by the best mussels I'veever had. Rutabaga tagliatelle and duck breast also delicious. Sourdough bread with miso butter a must-have (if you're intobread of course). As others have noted, portion sizes are a little small, which is generally expected for such a fine diningexperience. I did think the duck breast could have been a little more substantial.. they were nice enough to split the portionin half for my date and I, but at $42 there was only about 3-4 bites for each of us. My only minor criticism. Vanilla pavlovafor dessert rounded everything out. Great music selection I should add ???????? Don't miss a near perfect culinary experienceat Blackbird.

One of the most unique culinary experiences of my life. We had the tasting menu, and I will admit that a couple courses were out of my comfort zone, but it was enjoyable and a bit adventurous. Definitely a treat.
