Contribute FeedbackBistro Campagne is a restaurant that seems to have its ups and downs, with some customers loving the ambiance and outstanding food, while others experiencing disappointments in terms of overcooked dishes and lackluster food quality. Despite inconsistent experiences, some diners have had memorable meals at Bistro Campagne and highly recommend it for special occasions or date nights. The cozy atmosphere and delicious food make it a favorite for many, although some have noted issues with service and wait times for food. Overall, Bistro Campagne offers a modern array of food in a beautiful garden setting, making it a go-to spot for those looking for a special dining experience.
Great food. We had mussels and escargot for appetizers. The escargot were good but not the best we've had (not garlicky enough for us) but the mussels were outstanding. The serving was large enough for us to share. Wish we had known because we would have only ordered the mussels. The pork chop and the bouillabaisse were excellent. The pork chop was very tender and forestiere sauce was very good. Both were large enough servings that we took some home for the next day's lunch still excellent. Desserts were good. My husband didn't love the chocolate mousse the texture was too dense for him and he didn't like that the passionfruit creme was on the bottom. But my apple strudel with ice cream (substituting for Tarte Tatin on the menu) was great and we shared that.
Food was great! Kat was our server and she was lovely helpful! Love the bistro and already plan to return on Wednesday for their prix fixe night!
The food and service are both AMAZING. This is one of our favorite restaurants.
We arrived a few minutes early for our 6:00 reservation and were pleased to see that the staff was totally prepared and geared up for the crowd that would be attending Songs of Good Cheer at the Old Town School of Music at 7:30. We were served at a pace that had us done and satisfied in plenty of time for the performance and yet we never felt rushed. Hats off to all who made it happen! A memorable meal on a wonderful holiday evening!
Saturday was my husband's birthday and I had made the reservation three weeks in advance because I knew it would be crowded. To our great disappointment, we were taken to the worst table in the place small and out in the middle of the main floor behind the seated bar patrons, with servers and guests constantly pushing by both sides of our table. We ditched any ideas of ordering a bottle of wine and lingering over the finer entrees. We just ordered burgers and decided to resume our romantic evening at a different place. This isn't the first time something comparable has happened at Bistro Campagne. It's definitely hit or miss in terms of feeling like the experience as a whole is worth it. If you're looking for a place for a special celebration, be aware that it could go either way at this restaurant. We've had occasions when everything was great too, but not this time.
