BarTucci Homemade Italian is truly a gem. From the moment you step inside, you feel like you’re part of something special. The atmosphere is simple, but the warmth and friendliness of the staff set it apart in today’s world. We felt like we were welcomed into a family. And the food? It’s excellent! Each of the three of us ordered different dishes and we were all thrilled with our choices. I highly recommend giving th... View all feedback.
What Dan Reamer dislikes about Bartucci:
This restaurant definitely needs improvement. We arrived at 6pm and found the place empty, which should have been a red flag. The waiter was friendly but seemed unprepared to handle the job alone. He even had trouble processing our credit card payment and asked us to check our banking app, something I've never experienced at a restaurant before. Located in a surprising spot, this delightful Italian eatery is a hidden treasure. Despite its unassuming exterior, stepping inside will transport you to a cozy Italian trattoria. The menu features traditional Italian dishes, but what makes this restaurant special is its use of fresh ingredients. Each dish is prepared with care and precision, offering flavors that evoke the essence of Italy. During a recent visit with friends, we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of our meal choices. Whether it was hearty pasta dishes or delicate seafood entrees, each bite showcased the chef's expertise and passion. In short, this charming Italian restaurant is a must-visit for those in search of authentic cuisine in a welcoming setting.

He even had trouble processing our credit card payment and asked us to check our banking app, something I've never experienced at a restaurant before. The wait times for our food were surprisingly long, given the small number of diners. The bruschetta was burnt to a crisp and inedible, while the chicken parmigiana was tough and tasted stale. The only highlight was the fresh and tasty pasta dish.

I have been wanting to go here for a long time, finally made it and I am so happy we did! Amazing Service and even more amazing food! We popped in late on Sunday evening. The general manager/owner was very honest saying it has been a very busy day and we may have to wait a short period for the food but they definately will squeeze us in. So nice to have someone honest. Our waiter ACE was amazing and very attentive to anything we needed. It didnt seem like we waited at all cause the service was so good. When the food came it was BEYOND AMAZING! So delicious! My husband had the black linguine with the lobster and I had the cavatelli with chicken. We had the burrata with prosciutto for an app. It was so good, i made reservations to bring my family back next week!
We LOVE this place! We found this place in July 2021 and just had our sixth visit because it is the best Italian food we have had outside of Italy itself. I am very picky with Italian food, but this place truly is the real deal. We always start with the Brushetta Salmone and are working our way through all of the amazing pasta dishes (and secretly hoping to be “regulars” soon). Each dish has been so flavorful and amazing it’s so hard to try something new when each dish is so delicious. The quality of food is top notch and consistent with each visit. The best part is it’s BYOB so I can bring my favorite wine to pair with my favorite food. Also special shout out to Deuce for the amazing service!!
Second time coming here and had the pork chops. The food is amazing here. The sauce was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating it. Fresh Italian bread warm from the oven and olive oil to eat as well. Great salads and desserts. I will keep coming back.
Family owned and it feels like family there. BYOB so look the menu over to pair your wines. Servings are very generous so feel free to ask for fresh plates to share the wonderful tastes. They are very cooperative. No children's menu so another reason to share. Their steak is incredible according to my brother and has Eaton at all the famous steak houses in Chicago and Las Vegas and said this was the best. Wait staff was very friendly and help set up the last two birthdays we had there. It is worth a destination restaurant. Go there and try it. Very good.
Our server, Kyle, was incredible! He catered to our every need and was both flexible and informative when we had questions about the menu. The restaurant had a wonderful ambiance, balancing comfort and elegance, creating a cozy yet classy and modern feel. It was impeccably maintained and very clean, with some truly delicious food! Even though we arrived late at 9:00 PM and some of the dishes we wanted were sold out, the meals we had were among the best fresh Italian dishes I've ever tasted. It was clear that the pasta, sauce, cheese, and meat were all locally sourced and made from scratch. I was also blown away by the tiramisu! Kyle shared the story behind its recipe, which made it even more enticing and delectable. My family and I had a fantastic experience that we will cherish forever! This place is a must-visit for anyone in Chicago.

Authentic Italian cuisine and exceptional service make Bartucci’s a culinary experience worth trying.
Delicious comfort food in a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with a hint of hidden charm. The service here is among the best I’ve ever encountered. What more could you ask for? I’m definitely planning to return!
I absolutely love this place, and I would rank their pasta on par with the dishes I've had in Rome.
