Los Compadres - Chicago Heights

This restaurant is a hidden gem located in Chicago Heights. I travel 45 minutes from Chicago to dine here once a week. Their shrimp cocktail surpasses most places in Chicago—it's not only incredibly flavorful but also comes in generous portions. The shrimp quesadilla is fantastic as well, overflowing with shrimp and quite large. Overall, you can't beat the quality, the huge portions, and the affordable prices.

This charming little restaurant offers delicious hot food and fresh meats and vegetables—essentially everything you need! On my recent visit, I picked up some hot sauce, rice, duck, onions, cilantro, jalapeños, and a grapefruit Jarritos.

The food is amazing! The chilaquiles with eggs and steak are out of this world. My wife and I always come to this restaurant for chilaquiles. The service is excellent as well. The last time we visited, our order was accidentally mixed up, but my wife called, and they promptly fixed the issue. The food was still delicious! I highly recommend this place—you won't be disappointed!

Good sweet bread and nice people have good offers on meat and the shelves are very well stocked.
