Pretty rude, they don't like tourists here. They served my steak cold to the touch, inedible. I sent it back and they burnt my food to a crisp. Food came out for different people 5 15 minutes apart from each other. Serving sizes were completely crazy, mine was enough to feed two people, another was so small we thought it was an appetizer, even though it was an entree and the same price as mine. Maybe if your a local or a hotel guest they treat you better.
We a group of six Italophile Brits ate every evening except one here and were always treated with warmth and friendliness, the staff delighting in banter and explanations of the genuine Italian dishes. Highly recommended!
Had dinner in the hotel restaurant; their fixed price 20 euro special. I had a swordfish pasta that looked like a way to use up parts of a swordfish steak that no one wants. But it tasted OK though. Hubby started with veggie soup; lots of olive oil but otherwise OK. Served very hot! Then we each had veal and potatoes. The veal was basically sub-standard; all fat, gristle, etc. We thought of the lip on a steak. Three little pieces half an inch by 1 inch by three inches long. I probably got five bites all together. A few chunks of potato decorated the plate, they were at least cooked well if not seasoned. We did enjoy sharing a bottle of Barbera with dinner. We arrived just as the restaurant opened and left two hours later. Service was friendly but disjointed.
A cozy and comfortable little place, slightly off the beaten path, with an intimate atmosphere that we truly appreciated. The service was impeccable, the owner is attentive and very kind, making you feel pampered, and this adds enormous value to the truly excellent food. I hope to return to the area and visit again!
We returned yesterday after a first taste last year. An intimate restaurant with a family atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The dishes were carefully prepared and tasty; I recommend the Testaieu al Pesto specialty. The prices were reasonable. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, even with our four-legged friend.
