I recently dined at this restaurant and, unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The food itself was okay—not particularly memorable, but decent enough. However, my meal was spoiled when I found a hair in one of the chutney side dishes. However, what shocked me even more was what happened at the table next to us. Two young foreign guests were sharing the complimentary chutney, and one of them was repeatedly licking the spoons provided with it. When they left, I was surprised to see the staff simply wipe the sides of the chutney glasses, leaving the same spoons that had been licked, and then serve it to the next group of customers. It was clear the staff saw what had happened but chose to reuse the chutney and spoons anyway. To top it off, we were incorrectly charged on our bill, and the staff seemed quite confused throughout the whole process. Overall, this experience left me very concerned about the hygiene standards here and the lack of attentiveness from the staff.

Brit here! And I love my Indian curry! What amazed me was the RANGE of different curries. This isn't just a Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala place but the full works. It's got all the usual Brit favourites such as Rogan Josh, Masala, Paneer, Korma, Madras, Vindaloo, Jalfrezi, Dhansak, Bhuna, Biryani. And a ton of curries you've probably never heard of. This time I went for a Pakistani curry which was exceptional. If you're looking for a taste of India in Chiang Rai, look no further than Accha Authentic Indian Cuisine. This place is a real gem, offering an incredibly authentic and delicious menu that will satisfy even the most discerning Indian food lover. The ambiance is rustic with subtle nods to Indian culture that add to the overall experience. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish is a masterpiece of flavour, texture, and aroma. The naan bread was also excellent, perfectly fluffy and buttery, making for the perfect companions to the flavourful curries. Accha also boasts a fantastic selection of vegetarian dishes, ensuring there's something for everyone. And for those with a sweet tooth, the gulab jamun and rasa gula are an absolute must-try. It's interesting because I also tried their Chiang Mai branch previously but this branch is WAY better. The service at Accha is fantastic. The staff are friendly, attentive, speak great English, and are genuinely passionate about ensuring that you have a great experience. If you're in Chiang Rai and crave a taste of authentic Indian food, do yourself a favour and visit Accha. You won't be disappointed!

The food tasted delicious and rich. I was a little bit surprised that I got my appetizer and the main dish at the same time. But the food was still amazing. I had the Sholay Kebap as appetizer and the Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan. Can absolutely recommend those dishes! The staff was very friendly and attentive. I also loved the fact, that on the first floor, they had some tables where you could sit on the floor which had extra carpet on it. If you desire some tasty Indian food, here you will find it!

The service was quick and attentive, which made for a pleasant experience overall. However, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. The bindi masala, in particular, lacked flavor. It seemed to be missing the typical spices, and even salt was barely noticeable. The ginger pieces were the only part of the dish that had any real flavor, which was a bit disappointing, especially since bindi masala is usually a simple, flavorful dish. In terms of pricing, we found it to be on the higher side for Chiang Rai. During our week-long stay, we ate out everyday for lunch dinner’s enough to notice this restaurant's prices were noticeably more expensive than others we tried which were also better quality. That said, the overall experience was still positive, and we did enjoy the atmosphere and service. Just a few areas where there’s room for improvement.
