Redbox Dining Room - Chiang Mai

My wife and I just stumbled on Redbox at our recent visit to Chiangmai. Because of the COVID situation, we could just walk in and get a table. The restaurant is located on a quiet soi and takes the lower level of a beautiful Thai-style house. The staff was all very warm and friendly. We started with spinach soup and lobster bisque, both velvety and tasty. Next we had the chicken Satay and Carpaccio beef. The chicken was tender and juicy, with a nice smokey taste. My wife enjoyed the beef (which they commanded “spicy” because they Thai! . Also tried the buttered shrimps that were quite good. For the main course we had the Panang lambcocks. We liked that the Panang spices were not too strong, which allowed the taste of the Lamb to pass. The Siam Ruby Dessert was a special treat, unlike any dessert I've ever had. The smoke infusion of coconut as well as the crispy “ground” and small Thai biscuits (I forget what they are called, along with the Malaysian palm sugar syrup to exaggerate everything, all come together to make a taste and texture explosion in the mouth. Superb! We had a nice conversation with Chef Dan afterwards, and he recommended an Italian restaurant for us because my wife had mentioned that I like Italian cuisine. We look forward to our next opportunity to visit Redbox again and bring family with you!

Very good restaurant, a pleasant decoration with impeccable service! The chief came to talk to us at the end of the meal, really great! Only flat, the CB (near Visa) accepts that from 2000THB, predict species so never! Thank you for this beautiful moment!

The duck with lychee was fabulous! A must try! Very cozy atmosphere and good service with history over the house and the dishes super interesting!

My wife and I are honeymoon in Chiang Mai and we loved Redbox!. The atmosphere is very welcoming; Chef Dan has transformed this local event into an oasis for contemporary Thai fine food. Attention to the detail of welcome, to the impeccable service and menu recommendations, we have enjoyed our experience very much. We had to start the crispy lotus and the chicken satay, then Curry smoked duck and shrunk shrimp. Wow. Everything was amazing. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!

A memorable dining experience and highlight of my trip in Chiang mai. For me i have visited Chiang Mai many times and had tried many restaurant . For me this place gets right with everything. food in general was great the scallop ere highlight and all curry sauce were perfect. siam ruby was to die for and out of this world.
