What ณรงค์กร เกิดงามพริ้ง doesn't like about Aroi Dee:
Worst Kao Soi and red curry I've ever had. I'm embarrassed to think about how many red curries I've had in Canada that were far more flavourful than this. The Kao Soi didn't look or taste right, it was bland and watery and full of cabbage and had no spice. The red curry was watery and bland, lacked kefir lime and lemon grass and had no spice. I ate here often, beautiful atmosphere, great Thai food, sweet Thai ladies. Good place to enjoy happy hour or dinner, drink a cold beer and eat delicious Thai food after a long day tour Chiang Mai. The Panang Curry, Aroi Mak! (Very delicious)

Some dishes were super tasty, some a little bland. I did ask for no MSG and garlic though, so probably a lot better if you don't mind those.

If you can't have spice maybe this place will suit you but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Great little spot with good food and reasonable prices. During the day the wonderful lady who works here is the only one here. My first stop was just for a beer and she was right there. I also like the “milkshakes/smoothies”. I prefer banana mango. One day she told me if I didn’t see her just go out back and call. That has happened several times. Seems that during the day she is doing everything from inventory to washing dishes. She is willing to send you to other restaurants if she doesn’t have want you are looking for. she sent me to Aroon Rai with suggestions on what to try. If you come in right after a large group has ordered you may have to wait a bit. As busy as she is I don’t know how she always manages to smile.
