we weren't really sure we wanted to eat here, but we just gave it a shot. we had baked rice with sweet and noodle soup, I would recommend the noodle soup that was delicious. All in all, we paid 60 baht. View all feedback.
I didn't expect a good, tasty eating at such a simple and affordable place. Everything seems vegan, they even laughed when I wondered if eggs are used to cook. I discovered that on my first day in chiang dao thanks to happy cow, and I took lunch or dinner, sometimes both, every day of my stay there that were 9 days. the mushroom tofu nudel (egg free) sweet soup is simply amazing. fried tofu is also beautiful surpringly.
Very basic place, but eating is very cheap and tastes good. it seems to be all vegan.

The food at Jay was delicious! They had a variety of options, including mock meats and vegetable dishes. The staff member didn't speak English, but was very friendly when I used my limited Thai. The interior is a bit run-down, and you can hear street noise, but the food is tasty. Since there are limited dining options in Chiang Dao, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
I am very grateful for the restaurant in Chiang Dao. Typically, I am not a fan of vegetarian food, but the dishes here were delicious and unlike anything I have tried before. I noticed three women working there who were very friendly. We used Google Translate to help communicate, and all the meals were very affordable. They also sold various snacks and chips for only 10 baht.
