I'm not sure why I never really went, but last Friday I visited a frien... read more Tierra Roja is a restaurant I had seen for a place to have a nice meal in the Chia area. I'm not sure why I never really went, but last Friday I visited a friend for his birthday. At first I thought we had made a mistake because my friend did not eat pigs or shells – something that was shown prominently on the menu – but we found several things to order. We shared several tapas and shared one of the main dishes of the Entenpaella. I can only say I didn't expect such a lush meal. Everything was beautifully presented, hearty and a pleasure for the pallet. The chef welcomed us from the beginning and had many suggestions, he was clearly very proud of his restaurant and rightly. By far this is one of the best restaurants in the outskirts of Bogota and also for this matter Bogota. Kudos to Cesar and his staff for a wonderful gastronomic adventure. You have to visit.

Tierra Roja is another step up and honestly the food / Flavors that Cesar creates is even better than we experienced in Madrid and other parts of Spain in 2019. Local family members discovered Tierra Roja and were thrilled to share this jewel with us. The tapas... we had the Bunuelo de salmon, Pulpo a feira, Canelones rellenos, Gambones al horno and the Filet Mignon a las tres sales .... many delicious flavors. For our Platos Fuertes we chose the Cochinillo salvaje al horno... so delicate and tasty. Cesar is an excellent host and a great cook!! A truly beautiful culinary experience. Next time we get back together in Bogota!!

We'... read more The personalized and intimate attention right from the chef and owner is amazing. The way he patiently will guide you though the entire menu was fascinated. We'll certainly come back with friends and family. I'm Colombian and I was delighted as well as my Mexican husband who has a very difficult palate lol.
