The... read more Saturday lunchtime we were invited to this restaurant by the lake of Neuchâtel. I immediately felt like I was on holiday in a Club Med somewhere by the sea. The staff were wearing Hawaiian type shirts, friendly and efficient service. First of all a large choice of tropicla cocktails, and we took accras de morue as well. Then a starter buffet with prawn cocktail, melon and parma ham, a delicious pâté en croûte, stuffed mussels, smoked salmon, tahini, stuffed eggs, prawns, plenty of salads, grilled bacon, spring rolls, breaded crab claws, stuffed vine leaves, salmon salad, tuna salad, and probably a whole lot of stuff that I have forgotten. As the restaurant if usually pretty busy there is a good turnover of their products, so everything is fresh. Afterwards a hot buffet with a beef curry, fish with amoricaine sauce, chicken satay, rice. There is also a buffet where you choose from prawns, beef, porc, chicken etc. and choose from a large selection of spices and sauces, and then a chef cooks it in front of you on a huge plancha. For dessert we had a plate of several small pâtisseries and fruit salad, and a coupe with lime and blackcurrant sorbet and fresh fruit. I think that this menu where you can eat as much as you want costs 44.80fr. per person, very good value for money! At the end of the meal the staff brought a straw hat and a flower necklace for our friend who was celebrating his birthday, and they sang 'Happy Birthday '. I had a really great time, good food, good ambiance beautiful location, what more can one ask? Will definitely be going back before too long.
