Worton Creek Marina - Chestertown

Nice and protected (from heavy seas) marina. I only visited as a guest and didn't see the inside of any building, but there are bathrooms, shore power, and fuel.

This past winter I stored my Catalina 42 sailboat on the hard at Worton Creek Marina (11/1/2022 to ~4/15/23). This was my first winter there. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service there. They were organized from day 1. They store your boat orderly and systematically in the order that you will go back in the water in the spring.They ask you to give them a work list before the winter begins and they get to everything on your list in a timely fashion. No drama. No excuses that they couldn’t complete everything by spring. You can set your watch by them. Also, I think as Marina prices go they are also very fair.They have been pleasant, extremely helpful, and timely in delivering of services.Very recently, in fact, during heavy winds on a Friday. I had damage to the autopilot RAM. I called them on the following Monday near the end of working hours and by the immediately following Thursday morning they had completed the repair and completed it in a highly satisfactory manner.The three or four items I’ve had them work on through the winter and even more recently, we’re done highly professionally.John LeClair is the chief diesel mechanic and I couldn’t be more appreciative of what he has overseen. Even when I had some water started to accumulate and tear my winter cover, bc I am nearly 2 hours away, I spoke with John late one winter day as soon as I heard of it. He jumped right on it and saved further damage.Every individual there whom I have dealt with have all just been extremely pleasant people. I don’t know why every business couldn’t be run as well, and be as pleasant as they have been. I honestly couldn’t recommend them anymore highly! Other Sailing, close friends, who have kept their boat there in the past have had very similar experiences when as we have compared notes.

Stopped in the dock store. Friendly people and a lot of great nautical merchandise. Nice place to stop and grab ice cream bar on a hot day. Owner is super nice.

We love coming to the marina and visiting with our friends and sitting out on their boat.. We enjoy the peacefulness.

Nice working yard. Safe harbour with easy bay access. Ships store for most needs. Friendly staff.
