Very negative customer greeting. Hesitate to accommodate a party of 7. We asked our service to be expedited to meet the needs of our toddler, however it still took over 1 1/2 for dinner service. View all feedback.
Silver Star was a delightful surprise! Tucked away from the usual spots, it offered a great variety of tasty food options. The brie plate was outstanding, and our group really loved the jambalaya special. Even though the pond outside was a bit overgrown with lilies and plants, the view from the dining room was still pleasant. Our waitress was cheerful and attentive. Overall, it’s a lovely place to share a meal together.
This place felt less like a restaurant and more like someone's cozy living room! It had a charming atmosphere, and the food exceeded our expectations considering its rural location. There's a beautiful view of a pond in the back, and the service was both friendly and attentive.
The food is decent overall, but I was disappointed with the pizza. The crust was undercooked, and the sauce lacked flavor. Sorry to say, it didn't meet my expectations.
The Silver Star has officially closed its doors for good as of August 2021. The building is currently for sale. Apologies to all the Yelpers!
Six of us had dinner at the Silver Star last night. I hadn't eaten there for a few years but had heard the management had changed, checked the reviews on here and decided to go back with some friends. The food was very good. A side salad was served, along with delicious warm bread. Our friends ordered calamari appetizers, and they enjoyed it. A few of us ordered the chicken pot pie with puff pastry, which was a sizable serving and tasted great. My wife and another friend ordered cheeseburgers, that had to be half-pounders. They came with homemade French fries that had a light crisp exterior. Excellent! My buddy liked the salmon with a balsamic drizzle. For dessert, two of us tried the chocolate mousse cake...another good choice. We also tried the warm blueberry turnovers and cheesecake. All the desserts come with vanilla ice cream, which adds a nice touch to the treat. Both the owner and our server went out of their way to make the dinner enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the Silver Star and we will go back.
