Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant received mixed reviews from customers. While some had a negative experience with long wait times, burnt tacos, and unpleasant salsa, others had a more positive experience with excellent food and service. The margaritas were highlighted as wonderful, shrimp tacos were delicious, and the ceviche was fresh and flavorful. Some patrons experienced overcooked fish, while others enjoyed the mahi tacos. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential, with some customers recommending it to friends and expressing a desire to return.
The food was delicious. Being a vegan, I opted for the vegetable fajitas. The vegetables were a little heavy on the oil, but the mix with the beans and corn tortillas was fantastic.
I recently had another amazing dining experience at El Cantarito in Chesterton. It comes as no surprise that this restaurant is still my favorite for Mexican cuisine.
Great authentic Mexican food. The whole place was a vibe. The spicy salsa is AMAZING
We visited this restaurant on a Friday night and found it to be very busy. We chose to sit in the bar area where we both ordered the mahi tacos, although we thought the mahi was slightly overcooked. My boyfriend ordered the jalapeño poppers and really enjoyed them, noting that they were made with fresh jalapeños. We also ordered a huge bowl of queso, which was delicious. Despite the busy night, the bartender did their best to be attentive, although it may have been helpful to have a second person to help keep up with drink orders from the restaurant.
Super fast and friendly service, yummy food and really reasonable prices we paid about $10 each for a lot of food.
