The food was incredible! I really wish I had taken a picture of the chopped salad and stuffed potatoes—they were both like works of art. The steak was cooked perfectly according to my request, so I didn’t even need to use the steak sauce. The lava cake was elegantly decorated with chocolate drizzles, and the vanilla bean ice cream was simply heavenly. View all feedback.
What Dawn B doesn't like about Longhorn Steakhouse Chesterfield Chesterfield:
Tom and I decided to try this place out tonight, but I don't think we'll be returning. We ordered the Wild West shrimp appetizer, and while there were plenty of shrimp, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. View all feedback.
Restaurants generally dictate a specific fashion; casual clothing for casual restaurants, bibs for all-you-can-eat seafood, Top Hat for High End Hotels, Jacket for NYC, etc. Longhorn demands that I wear my Cowboy Boots. The fortunate circumstance of the last third of your Life is not the Senior Discount, which is paltry, but the fact that you have gained considerable experience dining out. A Great Wisdom I have absorbed, considering the many queues into which I have wasted my Life Minutes (see Movie Theatre, Department Store, Doctor 's Office is that I can go to a restaurant at 4:30pm, choose my table from many available empties, enjoy Service which does not resemble a Hunted Animal, and begin my exit as the masses arrive. And so, I enter the Longhorn Steakhouse... I have eaten here once before 2-3 years ago, and to this day the quality of the Salmon I devoured still lingers. I am not of the mind to eat Steer, therefore, my desire was to test, again, the quality of above average Seafood. I was not disappointed. The grilled Salmon was moist, tender, flavorful in its own right but also enhanced by spices. It lay seductively upon a bed of rice. I approached it armed with a heavy fork and, unfortunately, a steak knife. (I might add that I was dismayed to be given a Soup Spoon to spread the soft butter on my complimentary Loaf. Alas, there was not a Butter Knife in The House! Ostensibly I must assume that this is due to the lack of Butter Knives on The Trail carried in saddlebags or Cookie 's Wagon. Please don 't laugh until you have attempted to spread butter with a large, heavy, serrated, steak knife.Travesty! With a nod to Balance and Moderation, instead of steamed broccoli I ordered French Fries why Longhorn wouldn 't offer Steak Fries is a complete mystery to me; one might just as well expect Maurice Chevalier 's greatest hits to be wafting through the restaurant 's stereo system Despite these setbacks, the food is SO delicious that I overlooked such limitations and finished my meal with an overall sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Our waiter was gracious enough to overlook my attempts at Cowboy Humor "Just in off the trail. Moving 100 head. I 'm parched! while ordering, and proved to be attentive and a pleasant fellow with which to deal. The ambience reminds one of a Western Lodge with Wagon Wheel or Antler light fixtures, oil paintings of life on The Trail or perhaps a famous Cow. It really reeks of a Western Cracker Barrel with all the cowboy hats and stirrups hanging on the walls. I highly recommend Longhorn Steakhouse, but you must promise me that you will shoehorn your way into some tight Wranglers, wear your boots muddy or shined, doesn 't matter , if you have a Ten Gallon Hat I recommend that for men or, for women, maybe a scarf or bandana around the neck. Bolo ties are nice for this restaurant, and embroidered shirts are a must. I acknowledge that coming to a Steakhouse to eat Salmon is illogical, Mr. Spock, but I tend to view Steer as higher on the food chain than Seafood and therefore I grant cows a certain deference for this fact. One must not overlook the other fact that Longhorn offers seafood on its menu. If you are a stickler for details, like I typically am myself, you will restrict your ordering to a plate of beans.
Update 2023: Quality of food and service has dropped. Dallas works the bar and is still an amazing server. However, it is hard to get consistent service and consistent food. Today's mishap was an overcooked steak. The manager did take it off the bill but never stopped by to apologize. I miss Liz! She was the manager who had no problem apologizing and making it right. Quality has dropped tremendously since she left. Weekly visits are no longer our thing because this place is starting to suck! Ask for Dallas! She is our go-to waitress. She always takes care of us. The food is great Her service is awesome. We are in there weekly!
Magnificent! If what you are looking for is a good steak then this is a great place to go. Enjoy!
