El Maguey Mexican - Chesterfield

I wish I could show you what just arrived at my house. Not only was my order incorrect, but I also wasn't impressed with the food. Save your money and look elsewhere.

The service at this restaurant is incredibly slow. It took forever to get the Margarita Tower we ordered, and it seemed like they forgot the alcohol in it. I overheard drivers from GrubHub and DoorDash complaining about having to wait 45 minutes for their orders. The hostess, who was on her second attempt, really needs more staff to help her out. When our group of 7 finally got seated, we waited over 30 minutes with no drinks or waitress in sight. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service and don't plan on coming back. I'll stick to the Bridgeton location from now on.

Warning to anyone ordering from this restaurant through GrubHub or DoorDash: The restaurant consistently provides inaccurate pick-up times on their delivery apps. On multiple occasions when I arrived to pick up my order according to the given time, they informed me that it would not be ready for another 30 minutes. The first two times, I cancelled the order and received a penalty as a driver for not completing the delivery. The third time, I chose to wait and address the issue with the restaurant. Unfortunately, they were unapologetic and blamed the delay on the delivery app. Overall, if you're ordering through GrubHub or DoorDash, be prepared to waste your time or face potential penalties. If you're having food delivered from this restaurant, expect it to be late without any accountability from the restaurant.

Quality has been restored, food has been very good lately. The place could use a good top to bottom cleaning, soils begin to feel greasy.

Went in for lunch around 230pm was completely empty. Was seated fast sn courteous. Waitress was pleasant an fast on chips an salsa an refills. My girl had chili verde an I had beef nachos both were delicious. Was pleasant lunch. Authentic Mexican music played over the place
