New Year's Eve dinner, with a reservation at 5:30pm. I ordered the Fried Chicken, which was served with sausage gravy, mashed potatoes, a biscuit, and green beans. The sides were enjoyable, although the biscuit could have been a bit warmer. The chicken had a nice crunchy crust and wasn't overly salty, with a subtle hint of nutmeg. While I liked the dish, I probably wouldn't order it again. The service was professional. I understand that prices have risen, but our total came to over $100, including tip, for just two dishes and one cocktail.
Everything was great excellent server excellent food. It was too bad. We had a very loud person next to us who ruined the whole ambience.
Our dining experience was superb throughout. The reservation process was smooth. The service was outstanding. My wife had the special of the day pasta and she feels it was the best pasta dish she has ever eaten. My 6 oz. filet was perfectly cooked to my wishes. The ambience and surroundings were delightful. We will definitely return!
The sea food trip was terrible. It could have been the presentation that set it up for failure as it came out very plain with the three items on a small plate no garnish no nothing. Our filet was about 1/2 in thick and coked well done. 30 mins for a new steak to come out same thickness but was medium rare like ordered. Overall a $200 meal that I felt we could have had at a ponderosa.
