Great little dog friendly pub with good food. Burger was well cooked, and great value for what came with it. Great location for dog walkers as its only a 5 minute drive from Waldridge fell. Dogs are welcome both inside and out, with a rear beer garden perfect for dogs. If it's quiet, they could easily be let off the lead. View all feedback.

Hard to review. For the price, fantastic and I would say a 4 star. All this food and 2 large drinks came to £25. However, the pie was different from the one pictured on the menu. Rather disappointing. The chips were full on cheap frozen, still slightly frozen, chips. The choice of 3 small plates (starters) for a tenner (or 5 for £13) is great way to spread the taste. The beef was, erm, beef. Only a small bit of it wa... View all feedback.

Great pub and great staff especially the manager Andy who always gives time to have a chat and make you feel welcome. Clientele are good crack too…. All in all a great place to socialise with friends.
This restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, and the portions were generous. It was a bit slow, but the wait was definitely worth it. I will definitely be returning!
This restaurant is a bit difficult to review. Considering the price, I'd rate it four stars—fantastic value for money! Our meal and two large drinks only came to £25. However, I was disappointed to find that the pie was not the same as the one shown in the menu. The chips were also a letdown, as they tasted like cheap frozen ones and were still slightly icy. On the plus side, the option to choose three small plates (starters) for £10 (or five for £13) is a great way to sample different flavors. The beef was, well, beef—only a small portion had some inedible fat. The atmosphere is nice, with simple British pub vibes. It was pleasant and clean, with early 2000s music playing softly in the background and lighting on the darker side, which I personally prefer.
I visited this restaurant to celebrate a relative's birthday, and I had a fantastic experience. The food, including the vegetarian burger and chicken pie with a variety of vegetables, was beautifully presented, and the portions were extremely generous. The service was also top-notch. The day before, we dined at a different place in Durham where we paid twice as much for half the food. I highly recommend this restaurant!
