My wife and I received a gift of afternoon tea at the castle, an impressive old building rich in history. The food was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our visit was special. Overall, it was a delightful afternoon, a wonderful gift from our son for Mother’s Day. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. We loved it! View all feedback.
What Sabrina Miller doesn't like about Black Knight:
Getting to breakfast was not straightforward, as there were few directions within the castle, though it did make for an interesting walk. The breakfast buffet was impressive, but the cooked breakfast was quite disappointing, especially considering the price. I ordered sausages, bacon, a poached egg, and beans, but the beans were forgotten. I received one sausage, two slices of bacon, and an undercooked egg. Although... View all feedback.
We attended a wedding at this venue, and it was an outstanding success. The property is beautiful, featuring lovely grounds. Unfortunately, it rained continuously, but that didn't diminish the enjoyment of the two days and nights of festivities. The rooms have a medieval charm, which means they aren't particularly warm or dry, but they are well-furnished and full of character. The service was excellent throughout our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience despite the weather.

Although the staff promptly brought the beans after I mentioned the oversight, the overall quality of the ingredients did not meet my expectations given the cost. One highlight of my stay was a walk through the woods behind the castle, which I highly recommend—this was my favorite part of the experience.
A genuine castle, filled with doors and narrow corridors. We found ourselves a bit lost a couple of times, but there were always friendly staff nearby to assist us. The Library Bar offers the best gin and tonics—I'm particularly fond of the bramble and rhubarb ginger varieties. I would recommend passing on the overpriced 'special' cocktails. Our dinner was delightful. We took advantage of a special offer and ended up paying just £100 for two, which was a great deal. The menu featured a wonderful selection of delicious dishes. The service was excellent once again. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would be very pleased to return.
What an incredible place! It's like a real castle with a fascinating history, situated in a beautiful setting. The room we stayed in was simply stunning—spacious and featuring a four-poster bed along with a discreetly hidden bathroom. It really made us feel the sense of history. The staff was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. The hotel is surrounded by lush woods, perfect for lovely walks on the nearby trails. The restaurant was also excellent, and the whole experience surpassed our expectations. We will definitely be returning!
