Description

A beloved local deli, Wheat Market dazzles with generous, creative sandwiches, daily homemade soups, huge cookies and warm, family-style service. Cozy limited seating, charming decor and picnic-friendly takeout make it a community gathering spot with catering and curated gifts. Occasional service lapses — slow ordering and missed add-ons — and troubling hygiene concerns (flies, bare-handed prep) have marred some visits, yet fans continue to praise the fresh ingredients, affordable portions and welcoming atmosphere that keep locals returning.

This restaurant is a perfect place to indulge in some of the best food and outstanding service. I particularly enjoyed the bacon sandwich I ordered. They also have a selection of high-quality products and gifts available for sale. I highly recommend checking it out!

The best baguettes I've ever tasted! I always make it a point to buy several whenever I'm in town. Their food is also amazing!

This restaurant is a blast! It's filled with interesting artifacts, and the food is simply wonderful. They’re also more than willing to customize your dishes—like adding roasted red peppers to my fried egg sandwich.

I visited Simon's for lunch and left feeling somewhat disappointed. To start, I noticed flies on the food under the heat lamps, which immediately made me reconsider ordering a side of Brussels sprouts. Additionally, the employee preparing the food wasn’t wearing gloves. While that might not necessarily violate health standards if hands are properly cleaned, I saw her wiping her nose occasionally and touching other surfaces before handling the food again, which was off-putting. Despite these concerns, I decided to give the food a chance, hoping it would at least taste good. After waiting quite a while to place my order, I got a wrap to eat in and an iced tea with a vanilla flavor shot. Although the wrap was handed to me to-go, that didn’t bother me much. However, when I asked for my iced tea, I was given a cup with ice and told to serve it myself, and the staff member quickly walked away. To make matters worse, the vanilla flavor shot I paid extra for was missing. Since it had taken so long to order, I didn’t have the energy to ask for it again. The wrap itself was mediocre. The hummus lacked flavor, and the wrap was unexpectedly wet with a slimy texture, likely from the vegetables inside. It was loosely wrapped and fell apart easily. I ate half, but the dampness, combined with the earlier issues of flies and the handling practices, really dampened my appetite. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I hope my next experience at Simon’s is better.

Absolutely loved it here! The service was fantastic, the iced chai was incredibly delicious (perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth), and the French toast was both affordable and served in a generous portion! The atmosphere was warm and inviting—you really couldn’t ask for more. If you're looking for an enjoyable meal, definitely come here!
