I recognize the location is a factor but the pricing makes me feel that they think it's a higher value than it is. The pastel is snack size but tasty. The pao de queijo is what I really disliked. I ordered a set that was very undercooked. Which at first was OK. I like it chewy but my Brazilian husband prefers it cooked properly. I ordered some to go. Asked for it to be cooked longer. To my surprise after my hour drive home. It was just bad under cooked. Which... Was a unpleasant surprise. I would not suggest this as your first exposure to Brazilian food. Please expand beyond.

Filezinho sautéed beef appetizer was delicious. The Frango AO Cogumelo Chicken breast with mushrooms was amazing and I don’t even like mushroom! Must must try. I don't usually order filets, but I'm SO glad I did! It was insane how good it was. Unfortunately the service didn't match the level of the food. While our server was very nice and polite, we felt ignored most of the time. In fact, we accidently knocked a glass onto the floor where it shattered.... it was barely cleaned up. At one point the hostess was on her way to seat a couple and she came upon the shattered mess, and just walked the couple a different way to get to their table. It just felt completely embarrassing to have broken the glass in the first place..... but even worse to have the shattered remains (and liquid) left next to us for the remainder of our visit. We will definitely be going again because the food was that good! It was our first time visiting Frix's so we're hoping it was just a bad night maybe. Perhaps the next visit will be completely different and I'll give an easy 5 stars!
