Contribute Feedback What Angela Clayton doesn't like about Allium And Grill:
I visited Allium to pick up two pizzas to go, and the entire experience was a disaster from beginning to end. Although the restaurant was empty, I had to wait about 30 minutes only to be informed that they had no pizza boxes for takeout. Instead, I was offered the option to carry the pizzas on plates down the street. So, we opted to dine in. Honestly, I think frozen pizzas from Iceland would have been a better choice... Food wasn't piping hot but still damn tasty and good value. As always you get really well looked after.
Good value for money. Our room was up to the standard most people expect in any hotel nowadays, modern, clean and fresh. Evening meal was also value for money and enjoyable. Staff were polite and friendly.
Lovely village restaurant scene for a friends christening party
Debbie great in front of house.Real ale brill.Wine very over pricedFood????Had the mixed grill. Egg was BURNT as were the sausages.Steak fat and far too well cooked for med/ rare chips over cooked floppy and cold.Talking about cold..... whole place was cold.Sorry Debbie..... you were great and deserve better from the so called cooks. Mark Ellis would never make Masterchef how he made Great British Menu is a wonder if this is what he serves.
Mark Ellis the owner and Chef served up delicious food of a very high standard. The room was fine but needs a few extra touches. We would go again.
