We visit Chester regularly and came across this tearoom by chance. Good mushroom soup to start with followed by Coronation chicken sandwich for my wife and I had cheese and onion quiche with salad. All the food was very good well prepared and tasty. View all feedback.
What Gazc26 doesn't like about Towers:
First of all I’d like to say how lovely the staff were here. This review does not reflect on how attentive and helpful the front of house and waiting staff were. But it’s purely how the food. We paid nigh on £20 for a poorly executed Croque Monsieur and Welsh rarebit. Hidden away but what a find. Extensive menu of teas and coffees...but the cake...mmmm! Lunches looked good too, but I was too full of cake to indulge further
Lovely and relaxing atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. Stopped in for hour to have some tea and cake and thoroughly enjoyed it, would recommend.
We've been here before when it was called Beatons. Both times have been first class events. Situated right next to the Cathedral Tower! , accessed by pathway. Fantastic selection of lunchtime meals snack. Really, really fine tasty food. Proper coffee, too. selection of teas, including home selection. All first class. Really recommended if you're in Chester look it up. You won't be disappointed. Did I mention that it's all reasonably priced, too. Can't beat it. Would have got 5 stars for service had the young lady who served us, twice we went back later for cakes coffee , not been in a bit of a strop.
Oasis of quiet in the middle of Chester. Plenty of space, friendly staff and excellent food. The choice of types of tea was particularly impressive.
This is a fantastic cafe. Me, my fiancée and (at the time) 7 month old daughter went to Chester for the weekend back in early October. We went to Towers for breakfast on the Saturday and enjoyed it so much went there again on the Sunday.
