What DeavBBQ doesn't like about The Waiting Room Lounge:
This restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a pint and snack before catching the train. The Doombar cask ale is a must-try, and pairing it with a few small plates is a great choice. Within 5 minutes, you'll be on the train. Overall, it's a good spot for a quick bite and drink. View all feedback.

After arriving in Chester by train, we found ourselves a little early to check into the nearby Premier Inn. Seeking shelter from the sweltering heat, we sought refuge at The Waiting Room at The Queen. While the exterior seemed a bit run-down and the atmosphere quiet, the staff was incredibly friendly and the charm of the place grew on us the longer we stayed. We enjoyed a delicious, simple lunch and a quick peek into the main hotel revealed a hidden gem, albeit slightly faded. I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again for a drink or a meal.
This is a charming, peaceful spot to have a drink and enjoy a high-quality, light lunch that is served quickly. The atmosphere is pleasant and has an old-fashioned feel.
Nice environment to relax and enjoy two for one drinks in the afternoon from Monday through to Thursday, between three and five o’clock.really. Comfortable seating to sink into.
