We decided to have breakfast at this restaurant. The service was friendly, the place was clean, and the breakfast was surprisingly well prepared (not what I expected from a pub). The only downside was the quality of the ingredients, particularly the sausage, which was cheap and had a strange texture. However, considering the price of around £6 for two full English breakfasts, it was reasonable. I still ate it, but I would rather pay £5 for better quality ingredients. I probably won't be back for a while, but I still have to give it 4 stars because despite the issues with the ingredients, the meal was cooked and served perfectly.
I have just returned home after having the best value for money full English breakfast I have ever had. Two sausages, black pudding, fried egg, hash brown, beans, mushrooms toast and a large coffee all for £4.50 cooked by the wonderful chef juile lawton sat in a friendly relaxing atmosphere . would highly recommend to anyone , especially if you are going to haydock races or just passing by.
The last time we visited Sir Charles was during a winter storm. The cozy open fire immediately set the mood. Fast forward to our latest visit on a beautiful summer evening, where I brought along a friend who loves great food. We sat in the garden, enjoying the evening and dining outside. The food was faultless, a big thank you to the team.
This is a brekkie to die for a must if your really hungry and have a good appetite. also very very good value for money.
