Karai Lounge

My wife and I are both addicted to curries. We moved to Chester about a year ago and have tried all the local Indian takeaways. The Karai Lounge is simply the best in terms of quality, service and value for money by a country mile. Please try it to find out why.

Normally the food here is not bad, however, this time poppadoms tasted like they were yesterday's and no chutney tray even though I'd paid for it!!! Very disappointing

Don’t order from here! After the food arriving stone cold, and black chicken we rang up to explain we were unhappy. The staff were so rude i have never experienced such bad customer service, refusing to refund any amount and telling we were now making other peoples food cold by phoning them up! Absolutely shocking!!! Stay clear!!!

Very disappointed. Don 't normally like giving poor reviews but was warranted on this occasion. We ordered a takeaway to a nearby hotel. We had a chicken tikka masala with garlic nan and a dosa. First for the dosa. Was well made and nice and spicy. No issues on that one. Garlic nan were doughy and average at best. As for the tikla masala. It would have been better to heat up a tin of Heinz tomato soup. It would have tasted way better. Our tikka masala had a very odd sort of orangy fluorescent colour to it. I stated on the order page that I wanted a spicy style chicken tikka curry amd again reiterated SPICY . Instead we got an EXTREMELY sweet chicken tikka curry and some sort of coconut cream which completely excessive. Not like the curries we are used to. Terrible.

This is the best Indian food we have ever tasted. Chicken Tikka Masala was a new dish for me and now it's my favorite. All the dishes we tried were excellent, much better than what we have had in the US. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean.
