Costa Coffee Watergate Street

In these difficult times,we both understand the requirement to keep your distance from other’s and wear face masks. We where told to stand in the doorway and wait(which we did) only for the table wiper to then tell us to ‘wait outside’ No people skills...or manners. Never got as far as getting a coffee. Will not return.

Ordering a second cup,of,cofee was told to sit down again and NOT bring back the empty cup....No thank you but, or sorry,or anything polite. Are we all seen as big virus ships to be alienated ..

As can be seen from the poor reviews, this is one Costa to avoid. Actually shouted at by a member of staff today due to their own serving mistakes. Appalling customer service.

The place was messy and dirty. I dared to move the dirty dishes to the counter and received not a thanks but a look of contempt from the barista. No smile, made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. Changed my mind about spending my...money there there are loads of other places to get coffee in Chester that actually welcome customers and make an effort to keep the place clean. Won’t return.

It's becoming a costa trademark. The tabe gets cleared after you've long gone. It's the same all over wherever I go. I can't see much improvement since ch sta was taken over
