What Dean Phillips doesn't like about Bears Paw:
why place like this pub say price win on the menu next to a pub when what comes out can only be described as a dried brick with an apology for maische and watery gravy that would even knock to death...for disappointment View all feedback.

There were 5 of us and we decided to eat here at lunchtime. we sat outside under one of their covers, which was brilliant as she thundered and very impressive lighting happened, but still warm. only negative point was that it took almost an hour until it was asked twice about our eating and it was on the way) we enjoyed it once. we will go back
I have hosted my friends in the snow at the bear pfote and it was an absolutely beautiful day. the environment is perfect and ideal for friends and family together. the decorative touches that are already in the place have really helped. create a beautiful room for the baby shower. the personal could not be enough for us for the duration of the day, always to hand and extremely helpful. incredible value for money and I can't recommend it enough!

The Bears Paw is a very impressive building however the service and atmosphere let it down greatly. We visited on Saturday afternoon initially for a drink which were reasonably priced the bar was busy and it was slow to order and receive drinks however I...heard people say they were attending a private event in the separate barn but the bar in there only had one staff member. We then ordered 3 small plates and two further drinks using the app which was advertised in several places. The food arrived after 25 or so minutes and it was fine for the price charged and the portions were generous however our drinks had still not arrived we asked the waiter when he brought the food and he said he would check. We had almost finished eating and our drinks still had not arrived I went to the bar which only had one person waiting and asked for the drinks I was assured they were ready to brought over it was a JD and coke and an appletiser) I asked if I could take them and was told they would be brought to the table we waited a further 10 minutes before our drinks arrived. The size of the second JD and Coke was half that of the first so there was no consistency. The atmosphere was disappointing as for such an lovely building outside there were sports TVs in all the eating area and the music was extremely loud to try and talk over. There was a table opposite with unruly children who were kicking chairs over, throwing peanuts around, jumping on one another and shouting. Whilst I appreciate it was the parent who should have controlled the behavior they also knew one of the staff members who also did not stop them. A family on another table had to ask them to be more respectful when they were left alone at the table and were very disruptive. Unfortunately we will not be returning.
