What User doesn't like about The Stables:
I wish I had checked Tripadvisor before going to this restaurant. My wife, grandson and I went for a day out and decided to have breakfast there. It turned out to be more like a works canteen. We ordered small breakfasts, but they were not very warm and did not appeal to us. I complained to the manager about the temperature of the food, but she explained that they had to serve them at that temperature due to the cold... View all feedback.
This is a well-organized caffe with a good selection of food from cake to light meals. it was pretty busy when I was there, but the queen went down fast. sandwiches were delicious and had a nice apple juice. there is an inside and outside seating area.

Visited in aug 2021. huge park. many parking spaces must be booked online. w reasonable price also! large open activities playground for children up to 12 years old. the farm has many animals and activities from about 11 to 17 o'clock. stable has a good environment for a cup tee. worth the visit!
Taking into account the well-maintained surroundings of the park, including the mansion and gardens, it is disappointing to dine at a dirty, unhygienic, run-down, and overpriced cafe. The floor was covered in dirt, flies and wasps were everywhere, the food was cold, basic, and expensive. The cakes were dry, and the coffee tasted bitter. It is recommended to bring a picnic if you visit Tatton Park, or go to Knutsford village for food instead.
I wish I had read the reviews before coming to this restaurant. The food was terrible and overpriced, with limited options and overwhelmed staff. However, I must say that the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. We ordered toasties but regretted it as they were barely toasted and served on white processed bread. The chips were cold and tasteless. There were only two sandwich options available, both on plain white bread for over £4 each, during lunchtime. We left feeling hungry and unsatisfied, and regret not asking for a refund. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning.
