We had the pleasure of visiting this place after a walk in the forest and it was an exceptional experience from the moment we walked in. The staff John the owner i think, was incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming environment. The food was simply delightful, offering a diverse menu with dishes that were both delicious and satisfying. The combination of attentive service and delicious food makes this pub a standout choice for anyone seeking a fantastic pub experience. Just had lunch at the lovely Leathers’ Smithy, the festive pie meal was excellent, heartily recommend together with the excellent Timothy Taylors dark. Highly recommended. A warm welcome and lovely atmosphere as ever. Thank you John and the team.
Best fish and chips in Macclesfield by a mile. Best roast dinner. And that's before you start on the specials board. The chefs are constantly excellent, the beers are 1st class, and the staff are very friendly. Jon's a great host. Well done sir, top class
Another enjoyable visit to a pub with character in a picturesque location. The food (rump steak) was very good, as always, and the Dark version of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord was very nice.
