Greggs - Cheshire East

Went in for a quick drink and cake after a walk. Was told you need to pay extra to sit in. Asked what the cost extra was for there were 3 staff members in on a quiet Sunday morning. They said it was a service charge. Looked around and all the tables had food crumbs from last night still on them. Pointed this out to the 3 of them who had been busy chatting before we entered the empty store at 10:30am. They didn’t have anything to say. Absolutely ridiculous considering you still get served in take away bags and cups like you would to go out and then pay to sit in a filthy cafe. Won’t be returning.

Not bad. It has a better selection than Chatwins, although we grabbed what we wanted and ate outside. Price wise it’s not too bad and probably would go back.

Greggs is one of the cheapest places for bakery products anywhere. I bought pies and cakes to take home. Very good value and tasty too.

There are only a few window seats available inside, but it's enjoyable to sit and watch the world go by, even in Crewe. My complaint with Greggs is that I bought an item that was supposed to be warm, but it was served cold. The staff member said they couldn't heat it up, which is ridiculous. Greggs, please improve your service.
