I travel all over the country visiting one or two pubs a week. This one, while the beer was lovely has some of the rudest staff I’ve met in 20 years of visiting local real ale pubs. The george dragon is a very welcoming place. beautifully decorated, real fire, friendly staff. the kind of place where a weeping can call upon itself and feel safe. love it!
Lively, well run tavern. many nice people and good beers
Good beer however seems like you are bothering the staff when going to the bar to get served they'd rather sit on the end of the bar on their phone
Paul Carol are the best hosts and pub landlords you could wish for. Welcoming. Friendly. Hospitable. I recommend the dizzy blonde though all the ales are perfectly kept. Make sure you visit.
