Despite a tired building and facilities, the quaint pub offers good value for money and serves top-quality food and cask ales. With a warm atmosphere and attentive staff, it is a popular spot among travelers exploring the area. While some have had disappointing experiences, others have enjoyed the mouthwatering dishes, with one reviewer even dubbing it the best burger they've ever had.
Great place food brill can't say any thing bad staff very friendly very nice place
Great value lunch club on Wednesday, 2 courses for £7, menu changes weekly. Fabulous fire and dog friendly.
Been here a few times over the last 12 months through the rookery crew. I was a bit wary at 1st but I can assure you it's outstanding and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place to anybody. Food service out of this world
We have been to the fireworks tonight and it was absolutely spectacular! Well done to all involved. Also the food was very nice, quick and pleasant service too. Will definitely be back to watch again next year
The best burger in the opposite, and I have eaten a lot more burger....fresh steak minze from fresh boiled. not over boiled and gumy. simple and super fed. the personal was also great. an authentic pub, nothing discarded. I could not recommend this place enough. I'm sorry to say, but this burger hits street and deadwoods steakhouse easy. Moreover, it is burger is 2/3rds the price of deadwood's top burger, but stands head and shoulder over what is a good burger.
