I go in nearly every morning, and it's well worth the trip up the staircase! The staff are always helpful, the menu's good, and it's an excellent place to relax, read the paper (or book, in my case), and generally let the world go by. It's equally good if two of you, or several friends, go in. Recommended! View all feedback.
What Carllb1 doesn't like about Chatwins:
This restaurant is quite pricey. I paid £8.25 for a bacon sandwich and coffee. The bacon in the sandwich was fatty, but there was a generous portion. However, the sandwich was cold. The coffee was good, but considering the high prices, I will not be returning. View all feedback.

I don't understand why there is so much pepper in the meat and potato pies. We tried them a few months ago and had the same experience, but decided to give them another chance while in Crewe today. Unfortunately, they were still inedible for us. What a waste of money. I understand that people have different tastes, but I will not be buying them again. I'm sorry, but I am disappointed.
