What RazzyBthefirst likes about Chatwins:
Visited several times and surprised at the low rating on here. I do enjoy coffee and something freshly baked so this place has fit the bill on several occasions of late. Popped in yesterday, early morning. Friendly service, good coffee and we shared a vegetable slice or pasty. Sat outside and everything was delivered with a smile. The food here is of a decent standard but the prices are ridiculous. A medium sized breakfast bap of bacon and sausage is £4.70 or £6 with egg and mushrooms. Please note these are the take away prices you have to pay substantially more should you choose to eat in. View all feedback.

read moreChatwins, a bakery café known for its tasty offerings, faces mixed reviews from patrons. While the coffee and freshly baked goods are often praised, the menu items, particularly breakfast sandwiches, draw criticism for their high prices and inconsistent quality. Customers note that cold sausage and overcooked eggs detract from the experience, with some lamenting the lack of warm options during lunch hours. However, loyal visitors appreciate the friendly service and delicious bakery products, such as sausage rolls and Yorkshire pudding wraps. Despite the shortcomings, many loyal locals continue to patronize this establishment, showcasing its respected status in the community.
