Cafe Connect In The Memorial Hall, Ipstones.

I took some friends to lunch. they were not so insecure before what was to be expected, but they were impressed and intended to go back when they are so. good, cheap, homemade food, a friendly atmosphere and a pleasant prospect. what can you ask for more?

Cafe connect has been closed since shortly before Christmas, while the denkhalle where it is located has been renovated. it has now reopened in a larger, brighter space. eating is still up to the same excellent quality, with good portions and...good trips. it is still operated by volunteers interested in what they do and it shows.

I visited Caffe Connect on Thursday in May with a friend. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed some delicious food, including a beef curry salad, during our visit. The view of the Staffordshire landscape was also magnificent. This cafe offers a warm reception, delicious food, and a fantastic view. It is definitely worth a visit, but be sure to check the opening hours before you go.

The restaurant is open on Monday (except holidays) and Thursdays where they serve locally sourced food, including regular courses, two or three main dishes, soup, and a dessert. They also offer cakes, scones, etc. The menu changes daily and all the cooking is done by volunteers to raise money for the village. They have a computer station and WiFi available for customer use. It is recommended to arrive early as the offerings are limited!

I discovered this café in the summer while out cycling in the Peak District and have been eager to return ever since. Yesterday, my wife, a friend, and I made a special cycling trip back and we were not disappointed. We were only able to bring a limited amount of food with us due to the distance we had to cycle, but what we did have was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed homemade pea and ham soup with homemade bread, followed by an irresistible apricot bread and butter pudding. The chicken curry masala and vegetarian lasagne also looked fantastic, but we knew we wouldn't be able to finish those and continue our bike ride. The prices were very reasonable as well. It's worth noting that the café is only open two days a week (Monday and Thursday), has a limited menu, and once the food is gone, it's gone. However, this is to be expected from a community café run by volunteers. They change the menu regularly, so be sure to check their Facebook page for the latest updates. Despite its limitations, we received a warm welcome from the friendly staff and the atmosphere was lively with locals. Overall, it was a fantastic pit stop and we will definitely be returning in the future.
