We had the opportunity to spend my men birthday in the hotel. we in the restaurant. the food and the service were great! whatever you get, get a couple of riders. delicious with everything or by yourself.

The menu was limited due to covid, but there was a hamburger on the menu, and they can not go wrong with it. I ordered the light burger, with all usual ingredients, and pommes. the burger was cooking medium and it was delicious and juicy. the fries were seasoned, although I prefer regular fries. nevertheless the meal was excellent and the server was friendly. I'm staying one thing here, so I'll be sure to try everything on the menu.

COVID and the current and hopefully temporary new abnormal. The wife and I are breaking up a trip to the OBX by staying at the Delta Hotel which houses Luminous. I ate here last spring and Disney was my server; she was our server tonight. She's very pleasant, efficient and professional. That said, the menu was VERY Limited. Three each: appetizers, entrees and desserts. We made the best of this new abnormal by ordering adult beverages, beer and wine, to start things off. Coor's Light in a frosted glass for me and Pinot Grigio for my honey. Entrees included a chicken Caesar salad and the Luminous Burger topped with cheddar, lettuce and applewood smoked bacon. The burger would have been better with tomato, but, no tomatoes in the house tonight. The fries accompanying the burger were really good. And I used the Caesar dressing as a dipping sauce for the fries! Yum! Everything was fine. I hope the bar is allowed to reopen soon and the menu expanded close to what it was. I really like this place. Best hotel food about anywhere. Especially here in Hampton Roads.

I ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich that sounded wonderful, but unfortunately it arrived overcooked and burnt. The burnt flavor was so overpowering that I couldn't even eat it. Since it was delivered to me, I couldn't get a replacement. I was really disappointed, especially since I was looking forward to enjoying a tasty meal at home. As a Pennsylvania native, this was a true disappointment and felt like an insult.

I recently tried ordering breakfast from this restaurant through DoorDash because it was a new addition and I wanted to give it a shot. Let me tell you, the food was absolutely amazing. The bacon was cooked perfectly, the bread was just the right texture, and the hash browns were seasoned to perfection. I am definitely curious about who is cooking up these incredible breakfast dishes. This cook really knows how to make a great breakfast.
