Captain D's - Chesapeake

I visited this restaurant with my family for lunch about two weeks ago. The staff was friendly and attentive in helping us choose from the menu. The food was both fresh and delicious! The sweet tea was particularly amazing. My only suggestion would be to update the interior of the restaurant, as it has remained the same since I was a child. While it was clean, a little revamp would definitely improve the overall dining experience.

I was extremely disappointed with the state of the restaurant. The ceiling was stained and dirty, all the counters were grimy. I ordered the fish and chicken meal, but the chicken resembled nugget strips from a grocery store and was quite small. My friend's flounder and shrimp dish was also disappointing, with the flounder being thin and tiny, and only a few very small shrimp. The overall quality of the food and sides was poor. The cleanliness was subpar, and the employees appeared unhappy. It's a shame because Captain D's has always been a favorite of mine, and a special treat since I only go about once a year.

My wife and I went to this restaurant for dinner last night. The waitress with pink hair who was taking orders was extremely rude to everyone. She spoke so unclearly that it was difficult to understand her. She wouldn't stay in front of us long enough to hear our order, so I had to repeat it three times. There was another girl with long fake hair behind the counter who gave us dirty looks without saying anything. The restaurant was also very dirty and smelled like garbage. After finally placing our order, I picked up some tartar sauce containers on the counter and the waitress yelled at me, telling me not to do that. That was the last straw for me. I asked for a refund and we left, never planning to return. The manager, who came out to return our money, was very nice, apologetic, and wished us a good day. Kudos to him.

Good lunch specials at $5.99. Try the grilled talapia lunch portion, it is delish. Comes with bread, drink and a side for $5.99+ tax. Easier to order inside for take-out as drive thru is always busy.

Captain Ds is always good. Nice and hot. After getting a fountain drink and seeing how nasty the machine was I could only wonder what was going on inside the machine. I didn't finish my drink.
