What User doesn't like about Highland Springs Ranch Inn:
Before, this place used to be beautiful with a field full of lavender. When we first visited the lavender festival in 2017, it was crowded but free to enter. However, the following year there was a change in ownership and now it is not as impressive. Visitors have to pay an entrance fee and a parking fee, and the field is not even filled with as much lavender. It's simply not worth it anymore. View all feedback.
We booked a room for a birthday party during the Christmas Lights event and enjoyed our time very much. The room, of course, was just a hotel room with the beds removed and tables set up, but it accommodated 24 of us nicely. Because it is a converted hotel room, we had our own bathroom, which was nice. Public restrooms, though, are nearby. There was a small fridge in the closet for our use and the A/C worked well. We were able to take our car to the nearest parking lot to unload, and we brought salads, thinking just to augment the food our guests would buy. Next time we'll probably just bring our own meal. The food was not very good. Pizzas might have been the best on the menu item, but still poor-to-fair at best. Hamburgers were more like meatloaf sandwiches, and one guest, after waiting 30 minutes for his order, arrived back at the room with his tray only to find that he had a hamburger bun with lettuce and no meat. It's clear the venue has been struggling and is working hard to keep their head above water, and we were glad to give them our money. It's a developing venue that needs updating and repairs, but that said; for a family walk-around and a nice evening out, this is a good place.
Great little gem for a night out during winter to enjoy a nice, quiet walk under gorgeous Christmas Lights. Went during soft opening of the Christmas lights, by the way, so it wasn't crowded and peaceful. Probably going to get way more crowded and noisy once the season goes by. Entrance was mildly difficult to find as it wasn't lit or obvious, but we found our way in eventually. Went during soft opening period (Nov 5, 2021) so free admission and just paid $10 for parking. Peaceful walk with elegant Christmas music throughout the area. Food was good but we especially enjoyed the lavender hot chocolate! That was quite a surprise and tasted so delicious! Buy your food near the entrance under the big Eatery sign where the main shopping area is where they sell lovely products with lavender. There are tables scattered and benches throughout so there's plenty places to sit and eat. Family friendly and even better for a romantic date night! Might go back later in the season to check if they add more lights and decor to the place but honestly it's already quite gorgeous As long as it's not too crowded, I'd highly recommend this place for their Christmas lights nightly sessions. Our experience was incredible simply because there was hardly anyone there, making it quick to get food and simple to take pictures at highlighted spots.
Worth visiting, even if they've seen him before. every year something different. many food, unique crafts and live entertainment.
The first time here we went to the sourdough brot festival. very nice relaxing low key and informative. I look forward to the next festival.
A beautiful day at the Sourdough Festival. Menu had lots of new choices and old favorites. Sourdough Funnel cake for the win.
