Loree's Chalet - Chemult

Love love this place! the food is made to house and fresh and the service fast that is hard as the waitress was alone! it is not chic, but that makes it so cool! a truck driver in the trade sat next to us and began to talk to us. a disappointment was that the waitress could not make any milkshakes, because she simply had no time - but as mentioned - it is a big hole in the wall in a small town!

Had breakfast here when they were opened on Saturday morning. everything was delicious. no sweat, the best pancake I've ever had. super fluffy on the inside, crispy edges and cooked for perfection. bacon was crispy. the land of my sohnes fritted steak was amazing. also the landgravure was quite good. reasonable prices. no complaining of these hungry travelers.

I thought this place was great after the whole day on the road. the main rib was good and there was an affordable child meal. the bar looked like a charming place for a beer and a little lotto. I liked the style inside, a step back to the time.

What is a holiday without history? we reserved a room in chemut, cheated from the crater lake in the name of the motel. our destination was a day at the lake of crater and then a little dinner and rest near. I know Covid-19 has changed everything so that my expectations are adjusted accordingly. chemut has only a few places to get a meal. the restaurant at the kratersee has very limited hours, so they plan accordingly. in any case, back to chemut, we went to the restaurant. the place was pretty busy and I could only identify three people who do everything. it took time to get help. the one server ran with take-out, the bar and all tabs. the chef finally came and took our order and the dinge speduren some. the beer was fresh, the salat was good, that comes eating and my steak was over at his time. during our meal, the owner, who was used so and flies with the bar, begins to scream at our server and never return. I don't know the story, but they both shook the drain bomb on each other, ran out, apologised and screamed. it was disturbing and very intense, especially for our two children, who have difficulty understanding. the owner told the cook to finish with everyone and close the place down. yikes!

This place is a must stop in this little town. We're just passing through and didn't want to eat at a chain, I'm glad we stopped by. They have a vegan burger, amazing steaks, and even better prices! Our server was also our chef and bartender, he was so friendly and very efficient. Great place to get delicious food, beer, and wonderful service!
