Very nice owners who value a lot on good kitchen. Unfortunately, it does not always work with the service personnel. Nevertheless absolutely recommended and one of my gastronomic favorites! There are various possibilities for the guest. Either he goes to the restaurant with rainy weather, which offers numerous seats in different rooms. Or you can sit outside in good and warm weather. Directly opposite the restaurant is the associated garden pub. Here you can enjoy a quick snack or cool drinks in summer or hot drinks in winter. There is also a lot of fun for children. When I was a child, I was often there with my grandmother because she lived in Hilbersdorf. That's why we often went here. Today the restaurant has been refurbished, a large playground and there is also a small chapel for marriage. Unfortunately, the quality of the snack leaves more and more. Due to the constant operator change, there is no controlled process. Always new employees and nobody really knows about gastronomy. We are often here after cycling and get a cold drink and something to eat. Although there is no urge, it often takes forever until the small order is finished. I wish this could finally take the sceptic in hand and finally make a visitor magnet from the Zeisigwald skies. It would be a pity if this plant was closed. The restaurant is very good and also delicious food, with brunch and many events. But the snack is treated in a deep way. Please don't let it go...

Als wir zur Geburtstagsfeier in die Zeisigwaldschänke eingeladen wurden, freuten wir uns, denn hier waren wir schon ewig nicht mehr gewesen.Der Besuch startete... read more Als wir zur Geburtstagsfeier in die Zeisigwaldschänke eingeladen wurden, freuten wir uns, denn hier waren wir schon ewig nicht mehr gewesen.Der Besuch startete mit der Suche nach einem Parkplatz. Da konnte man sich entscheiden: Quetsche ich mich irgendwo an den Rand oder nutze ich den Straßenrand mit Parkverbot?! Die Wahl fiel auf die erste Variante. Von außen sieht das Lokal ganz ansprechend aus, der Biergarten wirkt lauschig und das Haus so, als würde nach und nach weiter renoviert werden. Wir wurden ins Kaminzimmer geführt, wo die Tafel aufgebaut war. Obwohl noch ausreichend Platz für einen weiteren Tisch gewesen wäre, waren die Plätze sehr eng hergerichtet. So musste man den schweren Stuhl komplett rausziehen/-schieben, um sich setzen oder aufstehen zu können. Das war umständlich und sehr laut, weil die Filzgleiter unter den Stühlen vergessen worden waren.Nach kurzer Zeit fragte die freundliche, junge, spürbar ungelernte Bedienung unsere Getränkewünsche ab. Blöd nur, dass unsere Karten kein Getränkeangebot enthielten, obwohl - wie sich später herausstellte - auch Karten mit Getränketeil vorhanden waren. Dort hätte man dann lesen können, dass für ein Glas Leitungswasser stolze 1,20 € berechnet werden.Vor der Essensbestellung hätte man eigentlich stutzig werden müssen, stand da doch der Hinweis auf mögliche Wartezeiten in der Karte. Da sich der Andrang in der Gaststätte in Grenzen hielt, dachten wir an nichts Böses. Wir sollten über eine Stunde auf's Essen warten!Und dann fragten wir uns schon, was daran wohl so lange gedauert haben könnte ... Gemüse und Pommes aus der Gefriertruhe, Soße zu den Fleischgerichten - naja, Kartoffeln teilweise hart, jedes zweite Schnitzel mit Zitronenscheibe, zum Steak au four keine Worcester Sauce, Salatdeko bestehend aus Weißkraut ... das geht wirklich besser! Geschmacklich war das Ganze okay. Fazit: Wenn wir mal wieder in Chemnitz sind, gehen wir in einem anderen Lokal essen.
