Therefor... read more The Kaßberg is the most populous district in Chemnitz. At the end of World War II, bombardments were peripherally affected, but not as bad as downtown. Therefore, many of the caravans built between 1870 and 1930 remained in the founding phase and in Art Nouveau style. Most of them were restored to their originals after 1990. Below often shops or restaurants, about apartments and occasionally offices. Sights district, best walk! Rare enough I do it myself, usually by car it goes over the Kaßberg to get from one to the other end of the city. Recently a little walk. This, as known, is hungry and thirst is fast in the current summer heat. In the late evening I came to the uncle of Cafè Emma together with my wife, which was opened from 2:00. Was not so far, but the friendly service allowed us, without problems and brought the menus. Inside there may be 30 seats, we decided to go outside where there are 25 seats available under large parasols. It is quite quiet next to the footpath and the busy Weststraße. The motorized traffic flows as much as cozy and hardly disturbs. We took from the available cakes 2 varieties each one piece, with coffee and milk coffee. There would be several small pastries of tartes or ice cups. There is not much to have here in the right food, various sharp sausages with bread, a soup and that was probably it. In the evening there are changing offers that the cook really is looking for. To round off the afternoon and also do something against thirst, we ordered an Aperol Sprizz and a Rhabarberschorle. The cakes, it was New York Cheesecake and Lemoncake, delicious Oberlecker. Rails actually, as promised in the card, to be baked at home. Hot and cold drinks could also convince. All together, this afternoon pleasure costs €22,90, we found absolutely appropriate.
