What a wonderful day today at the Cafe. I took my mother in law and my son to the restaurant for their special mother's day buffet. We were not disappointed! It was great and the service was excellent! My 9 year old son love the chocolate fountain especially. It was a nice surprise to recieve a rose at the end of the service! What User doesn't like about Maple Lane Cafe:
when a staff member 'shrugs' when he's informed an order is wrong, and does nought bout it, we go from average to poor on review.Fact was, no one CHECKED to see if our food and drink was 'ok'...it wasn't, so we sought them out, to no avail...an overcharge for the wrong one not dealt with.food was tasty albeit small serving, a burrito with a tiny salsa and nachos on the side twenty bucks included that incorrect drink... Awesome eats & great counter service. lil pricy but you get what you pay for, prime ingredients only.
This cafe has THE BEST food I have ever tasted!! And the staff there is incredible !! Definitely the best place to eat at in Chamainus.
We were disappointed. ...for local restaurants closed on Monday when all the tourist businesses were OPEN. We arrived at the Maple Lane Cafe 15 min. Before closing and the wait staff bent over backwards to make sure we got her Special of the day. ROAST BEEF SAND and salad with the best ripe tasty tomatoes and fresh blueberries with great salad dressing.This was our first visit to Chemainus....arriving by boat.The Marina Small but new concrete docks were nice. A huge container ship was loading cedar lumber....very interesting to watch.The murals around town are great.
