At the time, we were nervous about attending dinner anywhere with a large amount o... read more We had organised in advance to have a dinner for our 41 students and 6 staff. At the time, we were nervous about attending dinner anywhere with a large amount of primary students, as any teacher (or parent for the matter) would be. We also had travelled a great distance from where we live, so going to a restaurant was going to be a new experience for all of us. From the very first contact, the staff at Dom's Bistro were very courteous, organised and accommodating.  We had dietary issues and also had to be relatively quick as we had a booking elsewhere after dinner. The students were even allowed to choose from a variety of pizzas and were able to have a dessert for a decent price. The service was fabulous. The food was delicious and the timing was perfect. The staff were very welcoming and the venue was made to fit all our students comfortably that other patrons could attend the venue. A very big recommendation from myself and also the students. We will return next year.

It’s true the decor isn’t progressive but the vitriol spurred from the fact it doesn’t fit the typical modern hip restaurant prototype is totally undeserved. It’s called character. Do we all have to be basic? The staff are nice, the food is decent and the venue is spacious and accomodating for families with kids. I’ve been here several times over the past few years. Great value for money steak
