The restaurant has recently changed the menu and has a new manager who I'm told ran Pinnochio's Italian restaurant in Hampton. The pizzas and pasta are absolutely outstanding! And the new wine list is quite extensive with some great varieties to select from. We enjoyed a very nice Clare Valley Riesling. Will go back View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Concourse Restaurant and Bar:
This place has generally been poor the 5 years it has been open. The main problem excluding the awful food is that you get there with the owner half smashed and the bloke keeps drinking to finish the job in front of the patrons, the service is pretty shoddy. In a good spot and the restaurant itself looks good but it has been run so poorly it has no chance. A decent chef would be a start and a group of service people... View all feedback.
Have been twice, once for dinner and another for drinks. The meals are very satisfying and you leave feeling very contented. Dining as a couple or as a family get together, this venue is highly recommended.
Menu States fish of the day battered or grilled. Ordered grilled. Battered arrives. Staff argue that it doesn't say grilled. Point out to them that yes it does say both. They say can't do grilled. Offered grilled barramundi which we don't want. No other offer. When time to pay no discount but finally agrees on 10 percent. They say we should have sent meal back. Hey we tried. Manager was too busy out the front drinking with mates. We have been there before and been a good experience. Maybe under new management. Never again.
My husband and myself and our daughter and son in law dropped in last night for dinner. It was one third full but instantly it had a nice relaxed feel about it. We ordered the Chilli Prawns and my husband had the seafood platter and my son in law had the lamb cutlets. The Prawns were beautiful and creamy with a hint of kick and the rice with almonds was beautiful. My husband could not eat all his seafood so we helped him, it was delicious and we were all full and could not fit in dessert.A great relaxed night out with a few drinks and the food was sensational and the waiter /manager was lovely and attentive.
We have always had a great experience at the Concourse , yes it's casual , and the staff are relaxed. But always great fun. We have never had a bad meal and we enjoy the wine and a good range of beers. Give it a go!!
I would just like to relate to you my WORST EVER DINING EXPERIENCEFirstly we were offered a choice of Shiraz, Merlot or Chardonay, we went for the Merlot the waitress came back and said "we have not got any" so we made another choice. The entrees came and they were acceptable but nothing special. My wife ordered the Frito Misto advertised as being in Tempura Batter but was in fact covered in a greasy soggy batter and was missing the mussels. Also in the fish fillet there was blue plastic wrapUnfortunately I ordered the Paella and the first two ingredients, the chicken and the chorizo were not included, I complained and was told they had run out of both and I said I do not want it without these. The waitress then said she would see what she could do and came back with an offer for the chef to cook me up some chicken (I thought they had run out!} I said what about the chorizo and she said she would ask the chef if he could find some, he could not. I said I did not want the dish and ordered a replacement meal of lamb cutlets which were served with chat potatoes which were badly cooked. Needless to say we will not be going back.
