Lovely food and very good wine. We tried the pre-ordered beef wellington for two which was amazing and plentiful. Starter of chicken liver parfait very good too. We all tried something different and they were all very good. We have joined the dining club for locals which gives you 20% off your food, which was exceptionally good value. Will dine again. What Thomas Hill doesn't like about Forty5 The Square:
We sat down at 6.05 and there was only one other couple there who were just ordering. They ordered a starter and a main course. We ordered a main course a couple of minutes after them. The starter was brought to them and they ate that and we expected our mains to be brought out soon after but no! Their plates were taken away and then they brought their main courses out to them! A pleasantly quiet restaurant in the clarence court hotel. the food was good and so was the service. not very busy on Tuesday night we were there.
Excellent eating. made according to their specifications and their requirements. chef very passionate about his art. personal friendly and general atmosphere pleasing.

We enjoyed the food and the wine very much. Gareth is a very good chef. We highly recommend dining at Forty5 The Square.
